Heroes

Male characters (or at least characters that identify as male) that do things for the good of others or the sake of the world. Basically, any male character that fights on the side of good. The complete opposite of a villain. For the female version of a hero, see heroines.

(Note: a hero does not equal a protagonist, as protagonists are the main character(s) of a story and can often end up being villains without any heroic qualities or traits)
