Black Comedy

Black comedy, also known as dark comedy, morbid humor, gallows humor, black humor, or dark humor, is a style of comedy that makes light of subject matter that is generally considered taboo, particularly subjects that are normally considered serious or painful to discuss such as murder, rape, drugs, abuse, racism, sexism, and et cetera.

The most common examples of black comedy come from horror films and series where the deaths are excessively violent and exaggerated in terms of realism, and are hardly ever taken seriously by other characters.
