
Cape Fear is a 1991 American thriller film starring Nick Nolte, Robert De Niro, and the late Robert Mitchum. It was directed by Martin Scorsese and written by the late James R. Webb and Wesley Strick. It is a remake of the 1962 film of the same name, which itself was based on the late John D. MacDonald's 1957 novel The Executioners.
