
Bonnie and Clyde is a biographical/neo-noir film released in 1967.
In the film, a well-to-do waitress falls in love with a released convict and decide to start a new life with him robbing banks. When they kill a man however, they are quickly chased down, causing them to pick up more recruitments on the way, gain the respect of struggling civilians and rob and murder their way across America. The film was directed by Arthur Penn and stars Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Michael J. Pollard, Gene Hackman and Estelle Parsons.
The film is a biographical retelling of the Barrow Gang led by Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The film is considered one of the most influential neo-noir and true crime films. This film, alongside The Wild Bunch, are also credited with revolutionizing the amount of violence that could be seen in Hollywood productions
