
Blood Alley is a 1955 American seafaring Cold War adventure film produced by the late John Wayne, directed by the late William A. Wellman, and starring Wayne and the late Lauren Bacall. The film was distributed by Warner Bros. and shot in CinemaScope and Warnercolor.
A group of oppressed villagers ask a merchant skipper to guide their Chinese ferry to Hong Kong and freedom, but the skipper (John Wayne), a prisoner of the Chinese authorities, must first be sprung from captivity before he can ferry the stolen paddleship. Navigating the treacherous waters, the captain and his strange crew have a gun boat and a destroyer hot on their heels.
