
Assault, also known as In the Devil's Garden and The Creepers, is a 1971 British mystery thriller film written by the late John Kruse and directed by the late Sidney Hayers. It is based off of the late Phyllis Brett "Kendal" Young's 1962 novel The Ravine.
Two school girls are raped by a maniac in a forest area known as "Devil's End". One of them loses all memory of the event and is in a comatose state of shock while the other is found strangled. At the scene of the murder, the girl's teacher witnesses the killer leave, but claims that she saw "The Devil".
