Angel Beats is an animated Japanese series of 13 episodes produced by PA Workd and directed by Jun Maeda.
The story starts when the protagonist Yuzuru Otonashi finds himself in a posthumous world where he meets Yuri nakamura battling Tachibana Kanade, an angel serving God. Later, Yuri Nakamura recruits the boy to the Afterlife Battlefront, an organization that battles God, an abstract being they blame for their suffering.
