American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt is a 1989 American martial arts action film directed by Cedric Sundstrom and starring David Bradley, the late Steve James, Marjoe Gortner, and Michele B. Chan. It is based on a story by Gary Conway. A sequel to American Ninja 2: The Confrontation (1987), it is the third installment in the American Ninja franchise, followed by American Ninja 4: The Annihilation (1991). It is the first film in the series not to have Michael Dudikoff as he was protesting against apartheid. It is also the final film in the series with the late Steve James.
A young man whose father was killed by gangsters is trained in the martial arts by a faithful mentor. When his guardian is kidnapped by a gang, the young man follows them, only to realise that he was lured there so the gang could test out a deadly experimental virus on him.
